Some new additions to our store inventory at great prices.
Hail Mary - The controversial film from Jean-Luc Godard released by New Yorker Video is now discontinued. The story of a modern version of Mary's Immaculate Conception has gotten this film in trouble at the time of its release in 1985. So much so that it was banned by the Pope!!
Moon Zero Two/When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth - Yes, the now popular and very hot item that was released exclusively to Best Buy stores by Warner Brothers. The title When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth is rated 'G' on the packaging, but when you watch it, you will know that its more than a G film as the short nude scene by former Playboy model Veronica Vetri was actually edited for US Theatrical release. Speculation was the potential these will be recalled, however, some stores seems to have sold out, while some stores appear to have a supply of them. There is no official word about what Warner will do about these.
Phase IV - From Legend Films and Paramount Pictures, this popular cult sci-fi film from legendary graphic designer Saul Bass directs his first and only movie. Finally on DVD for the first time, it is relegated to the Best Buy store Exclusives, and even then, not all Best Buys are getting copies of these. There is no word about these being produced for wide distribution.
Maxie - Released back in 2003 from MGM, this title never made it far onto the shelves because it was actually a cancelled title. Yet, before anything happened, copies did leak out and so we happen to get our hands on a few to offer to you.
Joseph Campbell and the Power of Myth - One of the mose influential and popular PBS documentaries ever recorded is Joseph Campbell and the Power of Myth. Originally aired in 1984, shortly before Campbell's death, Bill Moyers interviews him for 6 hours on the meaning of mythology in ancient and modern culture. An awesome documentary that is worth owning!
The Life and Times of Hank Greenberg - Award Winning documentary on the great Jewish baseball player Hank Greenberg. This film focuses, not just his baseball career, but the impact he had on both society and baseball. Considered to be the Jewish Jackie Robinson, where in the 1950's, he also had to face anti-semitism in the states wherever he played, but rose above it to become one of the greatest players to ever grace the game.
Emmanuelle 2 - The Joys of a Woman - We also have one more copy left of this erotic classic starring the sexy Sylvia Kristel. This Anchor Bay release had only a year on the shelf before being discontinued has dried up and has become very difficult to find.
Nekromantik - The classic cult underground love story meets necrophilia in Jorg Buttengeit's great film Nekromantik. Released by Barrel Entertainment as the only official uncut US edition is in high demand and becoming harder to find. We have a copy here at a great price. This is in a red keepcase.
Nekromantik 2 - The sequel to Jorg's classic, also released by Barrel Entertainment. This is a limited edition of 20,000 copies and includes a second disc of the soundtrack to both films.
