Its been a while since I posted some of the latest OOP titles and there are some interesting ones to watch. I try to weed out titles that have either pending re-releases or have existing versions either in the form of SE's or coupled in boxed sets or double features. Here is a list of titles that I think have some of the greatest potential. Availability and accuracy may change without notice.
10 Violent Women
The Agony and the Ecstasy
Angel Unchained/Cycle SavagesAnother one from MGM's popular Midnite Movies series.
Apache From MGM's Western Classics line of DVDs. This one stars Burt Lancaster.
The Attic/Crawlspace (Midnite Movies Double Feature) A double feature from MGM's Midnite Movies series. This is the only version for both films that I see, so this is probably a nice pick-up.
Caligula (R-rated Version)
Caligula (Unrated Version)Both R-Rated and Unrated are being discontinued. These titles, especially the unrated version, will certainly gain interest, provided it becomes unavailable in a timely manner and no re-release follows. Fans of Tinto Brass, sexploitation and similar interests will definately want this classic!
Captain January One of Shirley Temples newer releases which came out about the summer of 2006. This is a curious discontinuation, however, it may be that they will only sell it through the boxed sets.
The Circle
Conceiving Ada A small independent film about computers, Babbage, flashforward time travel, with a supporting role by Timothy Leary.
One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish / Are You My Mother? Dr. Seuss cartoon from Sony Wonder.
Dressed to Kill This is the classic film from Fox. The UPC code for this title is 024543202875 . The only available version of the 1941 classic released at the moment. The description at MMM says "Colorized", however, the box data says black and white. So I cant say for sure which version you are getting.
Dutchman
The Elusive Avengers
Fourteen HoursIt is interesting that Fourteen Hours is being discontinued from Fox. From their Fox Film Noir line of DVD's that has sparked alot of interest and debate over the Boomerang title, this one might follow suit.
Happy Birthday, Lola! A handful of films in this list are distributed by Image Entertainment from the Russian company Russico, who releases many rare Russian classics.
Billy Graham Presents: The Hiding Place
Love Can Seriously Damage Your Health A Penelope Cruz Spanish film which is already out of stock on Amazon. This title is released from Vanguard.
My Favorite Broadway - The Leading Ladies
Rebels of Neon God (Ws Sub)
The Scam
The Tale of Time Lost
Treasure Island
The Worm Eaters
You're in the Navy Now A Fox comedy starring Gary Cooper.
